What's going on here at the farm?

For months you have been visiting the farm and seeing piles of dirt move, spread out and pile up again. A new large parking lot. More piles and large equipment coming and going.

But what the heck is going on here at the farm?

Well, we are building a new barn. But not just any old barn... this one is not for livestock. We are building a future, that's what we are doing here. A community meeting place. A dining hall for brunch and intimate Farm to Table Dinners. A learning center for local programs. A place to host. A place to relax. A place to sit down and stay a while.

Now, we still have A LOT of work to do to make this happen but progress is progress. Today we are finishing the grading for the new site and our first set of windows are arriving. Next week, building materials arrive.

Very exciting indeed!!!

Why does this take so long?

Well, my husband is the "barn builder" and while he would love to just hammer this project out, he has other barns he is building. We generally like to cash flow our projects around here and, as you can imagine, a project of this size takes an enormous amount of funding.

Since we purchased this property in 2015, Jared and I shared one common theme for this farm: Community.

We are always looking at ways we can open our land up for you to enjoy whether it be a farm stay, a hike, picnic, meals, full moons, snowshoeing and so much more. Nothing makes us feel more accomplished than seeing you come and visit us.
