About the event
The Women’s Carpentry Program is a small-format, hands-on introduction to light carpentry designed exclusively for women. This four-part series focuses on skill-building, confidence with tools, and practical application in a supportive learning environment.
Participants will work together to design and build a functional chicken house, gaining real-world experience with measuring, cutting, framing, and assembly. The completed structure will be donated to a local 4-H program, reinforcing the connection between skilled trades, agriculture, and community stewardship.
This is an immersive, build-based program. Class size is intentionally limited to ensure safety, individualized instruction, and meaningful participation at every stage of the project.
